An independent imprint releasing political satire, speculative fiction, and children's books under PTFOOT — a pay-what-you-want license that makes piracy a feature, not a bug.

An independent imprint for work that doesn't fit — or refuses to. Books published here aren't trying to clear a marketing committee. They're trying to say something true.
FTVFT Publishing exists because the publishing industry rewards books that sell and punishes books that matter. Those aren't always the same books. We cover the range between political satire sharp enough to draw blood and children's stories warm enough to heal it — because an imprint with only one register isn't an imprint, it's a brand.
Pirate The Fuck Out Of This. Every FTVFT title is released under a license that doesn't just permit copying — it encourages it. Share the files. Print the book. Read it aloud to your kid. Email it to a friend. Leave a copy on the bus.
If the work matters to you, pay what you can. If it doesn't, don't. The book's job is to find its readers. Our job is to get out of the way.
The FTVFT List — for grown-ups who still read
A manifesto for a country that's never actually existed
A seismic work of history, prophecy, and political philosophy that dismantles the founding myths of the United States and dares to propose a radical, tangible vision for its future. Part polemic, part policy blueprint, part speculative fiction — built on a framework of Reciprocal Democracy that synthesizes Haudenosaunee governance, Paine's Agrarian Justice, and Nordic social democracy.
The Late Stage Capitalism Blues — Why late Sticism makes us sad
A gonzo autopsy of the system that ate itself. Clan Mothers in boardrooms, therapy sessions with a Nation that won't admit it has a problem, cocaine cowboys on Wall Street, and a working thesis: causation is a luxury reserved for better times.
Little Very First Times — picture books for tiny humans
Original picture books written to be read aloud — warm, strange, funny, and never condescending to the child in the room.
A friendly dinosaur discovers what makes him shine. For readers ages 3–7.
Silly squirrels in space. Awaiting professional illustration.
A noisy story for readers who like to use their outside voice. Awaiting professional illustration.
Gary Gil-Schor is a Navy veteran, former journalist, twenty-year bartender, and the founder of FTVFT Publishing.
He started the imprint for the obvious reason: the books he wanted to publish weren't going to get published the other way. Political satire in the lineage of Hunter S. Thompson and Dorothy Parker. Speculative fiction with teeth. Children's books that don't talk down.
FTVFT Publishing operates out of Silver Springs, Florida, and releases work when the work is ready — not when a quarter needs filling.
